Christine Lasway, MPH, MBA, PMP
Christine Lasway is an accomplished global health and development strategist with over 20 years of experience leading high-impact initiatives across Africa, including in more than 15 countries. She brings deep expertise working with governments, funders, NGOs, and grassroots, community-based organizations to strengthen institutional capacity, expand equitable access to services, and drive lasting impact.
Christine has held leadership and advisory roles with top-tier global NGOs and consulting firms, including FHI 360, Palladium, EngenderHealth, Pathfinder International, Management Sciences for Health (MSH), and DAMAX Solutions. She has mobilized over $150 million in funding from USAID, the Gates Foundation, Packard, Hewlett, Tides, and private sector donors. She has led work in global health, development, and resilience, consistently applying best practices in strategy, execution, and organizational growth.
She is the Founder and Managing Partner of BluStone Advisors, a mission-driven advisory firm that partners with organizations and funders to shape context-informed strategies, unlock capital, and generate insight to build a thriving and resilient Africa. Her work reflects a strong belief in the power of locally grounded solutions, community voice, and equitable access to opportunity.
Christine also currently serves as President of the Diaspora Council of Tanzanians in America (DICOTA), where she previously served as a Board Trustee. She holds an MBA and MPH and is known for her strategic thinking, cultural fluency, and collaborative, servant leadership style.
As a board member of Sakapala Community Centre, Christine brings strategic insight and deep commitment to community-led change. Her leadership supports the growth of culturally grounded programs in early childhood education, vocational training, and economic empowerment helping expand opportunity and resilience for families in Tanzania. She also guides strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, and change management processes to ensure that programs remain data-driven, efficient, and aligned with long-term goals.
Christine is passionate about advancing equity and resilience in underserved communities, and her strategic leadership plays a vital role in SCC’s continued growth, innovation, and social impact.
