Tija U. Gwakisa

Tija U. Gwakisa serves as Secretary of the Sakapala Community Centre and brings a wealth of experience in human resource management, institutional governance, and organizational development. As Deputy Director of Human Resources at the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), she has developed deep expertise in leadership development, policy implementation, and organizational strategy skills that directly benefit the Centre’s long-term growth.

At SCC, Tija oversees board documentation, meeting coordination, and internal compliance while supporting capacity building across teams and programs. Her commitment to good governance and transparent operations ensures that SCC remains rooted in accountability, equity, and sustainability.

Tija is particularly passionate about empowering youth and women through structured community programs, and her leadership helps strengthen SCC’s ability to deliver life-changing education, training, and support services across Tanzania.
