Charities and Organizations
Zawadi actively supports multiple charities and organizations. Her philanthropic endeavors have spanned both local and global initiatives, collaborating with various charities dedicated to empowering underserved communities.
She is the co-founder of the Sakapala Community Centre (SCC), located in Mtoni Kijichi, Temeke, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa (www.SakapallaCC.org). SCC’s mission is to build early learning and vocational skills by empowering communities through sustainable, locally driven initiatives. These include daycare services, STEM with ARTS integration for preschool to high school students, Elementary School Digital Literacy programs, as well as activities such as Fine Arts, Playback Theater, and Dance. The center also offers Volunteer Service-Learning Programs that welcome students from Africa, Europe, and the USA.
To date, SCC has served over 1.8 Million people in Temeke, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and beyond.
